Village Stroll- Baby Vermonster, Downtown Wilmington, Vermont
May 9, 2008
Join us as we unveil the baby Vermonsters in downtown Wilmington for our street fair and gallery opening. A fun filled evening of family activities. Eleven area local schools have created 50 “baby vermonsters”- table top versions of our big vermonsters.These vermonsters will be on display up and down the valley throughout the summer in your favorite retail, dining and lodging establishments. All funds from the season long silent auction will go directly back to each schools arts program. Memorial Day Weekend Activities, Wilmington, Vermont
May 23 through May 26, 2008

The $ Grand $ Race + 2, May 24, 2008 at 8 am
Competing for the Grand Prize of $1200, teammates will travel by foot and by car in this fierce and exciting road rally. The race will take teams throughout the Town of Dover and areas north, south, east and west in Southern Vermont. As with the popular TV show, teams will compete in fun, thrilling but mentally and physically challenging events along the way. Vermonster unveiling and family BBQ at the Sitzmark, Wilmington, Vermont

Join the celebration at our Vermonster unveiling at the Sitzmark. The Great Duck Race, May 25, 2008
Over 1,500 yellow rubber ducks will be released at 12pm at the bridge in Wilmington and will float down the Deerfield River. 100 prizes, Morris Dancers,BBQ,Bake Sale,Games,Duck Quacking Contest, Face Painting, Balloons and more! Tickets are available at Dot's Restaurant and on the bridge the day for the race. Benefits Makes-a- Wish Foundation. Activities begin at 10:30am at the Crafts Inn. West Main Street, Wilmington. 30th Annual Independence Day Party and Fireworks, Baker’s Field, Wilmington, Vermont

USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships Mount Snow
July 16 through July 20, 2008
Mount Snow’s 20th anniversary hosting a major mountain bike event. Check out the countries top pros and amateurs as they compete for the stars and stripes jersey. The US Olympic Mountain Bike team will be on site as well. Competitors will be competing in cross country, downhill, short track, dual slalom, observed trials, and super downhill competitions throughout the four days. 8th Annual Benefit Garden Tour, Wilmington, Vermont
July 26, 2008, 9 am to 4 pm (Rain Date July 27, 2008)

“Gardens and Music” is the theme of the 8th Annual Benefit Garden Tour. The proceeds will support the restoration of Memorial Hall. This year’s garden tour on July 26 will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature music performed by talented local musicians. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Memorial Hall on the day of the Garden Tour.
